In 2017, Day Six accomplished to end up in the top 10 on Rockportaal with their album Solitary League. An exceptional achievement. A crowfunding campaign made it possible for the band to record this album and they gave everyone good value for the money they donated and something worth waiting for. Solitary League is a beautiful album with great progressive rock. Day Six convinced everyone seven years after the album The Grand Design and is completely back in the progscene.
The band, that started making music under the name Day Six in 2002, had some line-up changes over the years. Guitarist and singer Robbie van Stiphout and drummer Daan Liebregts are original members. The line-up is complemented nowadays with bass player Eric Smits (e.g. Casual Silence) and keyboard player Desmond Robberegt.
Musically, Solitary League is a jewel, which is indestructible. Day Six is without a doubt a keyplayer in the top 10 of the progscene and they emit this class. We are very happy, that they will join METAL-AID.
